Polar & ToneX One Update Instructions

IK Multimedia does not support MIDI, and this open source project is not in their consideration. 1. Do not update your ToneX One firmware (if there is a new release available) until you have checked the GitHub discussions page in case of incompatibility. Check the Releases page here. 2. If you update your ToneX One, your Polar may not work until a new firmware update has been released for it.

How to Install

Normally, installing the firmware is a simple and automatic process which you can do using this web tool.

You will be prompted to press the bootloader button while powering on the device. On the Polar Max v2, the bootloader button is accessed through a small hole in the side of the enclosure. The bootloader button is inside the hole closest to the front edge of the enclosure.

Ready to go

If there is a new release on the GitHub Releases page and no new ToneX One update, you can update safely.
