Resetting & Updating

16. Resetting or Updating

Factory Reset

This will clear all MIDI messages stacks, reset all switch mode settings, and all global settings.

Make sure you have backed up your device if you have a lot of work saved on the device.

A factory reset can be performed by holding down FS1 during power-up. Hold the switch for 7 seconds (until the LEDs all turn white) and then release the switch.

The device will flash the LEDs white a couple of times, and then return to the factory default booted state with all LEDs turned off. Confirm the reset has taken effect by importing the device's config into the web editor and you'll see no MIDI messages in the message stacks, no bank or switch text labels, default LED colour and switch modes, and unassigned Flexiport modes.
